Just In: New Orleans Saints General Manager Mickey Loomis Shot Down Trade Discussion Of …………….

Over the course of the previous year, there has been a certain aura about Marshon Lattimore and the New Orleans Saints. Regretfully, some younger sports enthusiasts enjoy talking about auras more than actual sports.

Rather, there has been considerable discussion surrounding the two sides regarding a possible deal. It didn’t help those storylines that Lattimore had a rough season of injuries.

Nevertheless, it appears that Saints general manager Mickey Loomis just blocked a Lattimore deal.

The seasoned front office head of the Saints is not actively attempting to move the elite cornerback.

“We can use as many corners as we can get because we have a good bunch of guys who will support one another and help our team win. Marcus has been a pretty excellent player for us for a good amount of time and is one of our team’s leaders.

When a guy plays a great role for your organization, he may not be actively looking for a partner, but you never know when you might get a call and receive a proposition that could work for you. That applies to every member of your team. You have to at least consider an offer you can’t turn down. Thus, that’s my opinion. I’m not attempting to exchange Marshon right now. Marshon plays the game very well. He is a superior corner. We must go past the ailments he has sustained over the past few seasons that have prevented him from playing. He is not to blame. It’s just the situation. That’s our current situation. — Loomis on Mad Dog Sports Radio via Adam Schein”

A few eyebrows were raised when Kool-aid McKinstry was added during the draft. A defensive back ready for the NFL, he was selected in the second round.

However, they do not consider his acquisition to be a justification to eliminate Lattimore. For New Orleans and their supporters this season, that’s fantastic news.
