Former San Jose State wide receiver Jay’Vion Cole is moving to Texas

Jay’Vion Cole, a former cornerback for San Jose State, announced his transfer to Texas on social media on Sunday. Cole was regarded as one of the best cornerbacks on the transfer market. During his first two college seasons, Cole intercepted seven passes: three during his final season as a Spartan, and four at FCS Cal Poly in 2022. The 5-foot-10, 175-pound Cole was a sprinter in high school and possesses exceptional speed. His hometown is Oakland, California.

The Longhorns have been searching for a cornerback after Terrance Brooks just entered the transfer portal and Ryan Watts was selected by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the sixth round of the NFL draft.
