Terrance Brooks, a junior cornerback, was the Texas football program transfer departure that made the most news during the spring portal session. The lone Texas player who entered the gate this offseason with double-digit starts from the previous campaign was third-year cornerback Brooks.

Terrance Brooks, a former Texas football wide receiver, has a number of P5 landing sites available on the portal.

In his two years at Texas, Brooks started sixteen games and made 23 appearances. Between 2022 and 2023, he totaled 29 tackles, three interceptions, nine pass breakups, and six defensive stops.

During the previous two seasons, Brooks (775) played the most defensive snaps of any Texas cornerback.

With many years of eligibility left, Brooks, a former high-four-star recruit, is among the most sought-after cornerbacks in the country come springtime. Not to mention that he started at a major Power Five program at Texas for several years.

More than two dozen FBS colleges have been in touch with Brooks since he signed up for the transfer portal on April 23. When he exits the portal for the upcoming season, the No. 11 transfer cornerback in the 247Sports Composite should have a good number of alternatives at his disposal.
