Just In: Auburn Tigers Head Coach Hugh Freeze Just Confirm The Departure Of Another Star Sensational Player

JD Rhym, a former defensive back for Auburn, is anticipated to transfer to Houston, as Matt Zenitz of 247Sports first revealed on Thursday.

During his two seasons at The Plains, the former Valdosta, Georgia, four-star prospect amassed 20 total tackles and one interception.

Hugh Freeze, the head coach at Auburn, stated to reporters in November that he and Rhym were “working through some personal issues.”

Week by week, that is. During the SEC coaches teleconference on November 8, Freeze stated, “I think he’s got the potential to be a really good contributor to our team, (but) we’ve just got to make sure the standard that we want for all of our players is being upheld.” “You’re kind of wondering now if it would be better to redshirt him or not.”

Rhym is now scheduled to bring his skills to Houston, where he will be a part of the rebuilding Cougars team, led by head coach Willie Fritz in his first season.
