Breaking News: Texas Longhorns Latest News On Career Ending Injury sustain By Record Breaking Player.

This is an update on the career of Longhorns Colt McCoy.

The beloved Texas Longhorn quarterback who could have had it all but was tragically injured in the National Championship game against the Alabama Crimson Tide.

Colt McCoy became a Longhorn icon while playing for Mack Brown’s powerful Texas squad. McCoy ended his four-year collegiate career with an excellent 45-8 overall record.

Unfortunately, after being injured in the national championship game, McCoy’s stock dropped, and he was not taken until the third round of the 2010 NFL Draft.

So, where has McCoy’s career gone him since he graduated from Austin and made it to the NFL?

Due to the injuries to the Browns’ first two quarterbacks, Jake Delhomme and Seneca Wallace, McCoy made his first career start in Week 6 of his rookie season.

Over three seasons with Cleveland, McCoy amassed his first 4,388 throwing yards in the NFL and scored 22 touchdowns.

McCoy spent the most of his NFL career as a backup quarterback for the five organizations to which he was assigned.

During his thirteen-year NFL career, the former Longhorn helped Kyler Murray, Daniel Jones, and other starting quarterbacks in the league.

Many Texas supporters still wonder what would have happened to the Longhorns against Alabama if McCoy hadn’t been hurt. They should also consider what would have happened to McCoy’s NFL career if he had stayed healthy.

McCoy has been rehabbing an injury during the winter following the 2023 season and has told the media that he is still interested in playing in 2024.

However, the former Texas star has professed an interest in coaching and, more interestingly, politics.
