Breaking News: Just In Duke Blue Devils Head Coach Just Confirm The Sad Departure Of Record Breaking Top Star Player………….

Stanford has received Jaylen Blakes, a former guard for Duke.

Stanford has received the commitment of former Duke men’s basketball guard Jaylen Blakes, the institution said in a press release on Friday. Blakes is the first graduate transfer to join the Farm under Kyle Smith.

Jaylen Blakes’ addition to our team improves us in a number of ways. He will give us backcourt experience and athleticism,” Smith remarked. His power and athleticism allow him to gain paint touches, which helps him score and distribute the ball offensively. His ability to make 3-pointers also forces defenders to pay attention.

For the Blue Devils, Blakes played in 83 games, averaging 2.2 points and 1.0 rebounds per contest. Last season, he was among the team’s best defensive players.

“Jaylen provides us with a defender with a pit bull mentality on defense,” Smith remarked. “He can guard the ball, which is essential when putting up a defense. As we move into the ACC, his familiarity with the league will be beneficial.

Numerous recruiting services regarded Blakes as one of the best players in the state of New Jersey for the 2021 high school class.

The six-foot-two guard is currently the Farm’s fourth offseason addition.
