Latest News: Just In Dan Campbell of the Lions Sends A Message To Brodric Martin, A Second-Year Defensive Lineman About…………….

The Detroit Lions’ defense may make significant progress in 2024 if they add parts to it throughout the offseason. However, second-year defensive lineman Brodric Martin is one player already on the team who might assist with that significant move.

Martin was selected by the Lions in the third round of the NFL draft in 2023. However, Martin appeared in just three games as a rookie.

Dan Campbell, the head coach of the Lions, and Aaron Glenn, the defensive coordinator, said they were pleased with Martin’s performance during spring open practices. Each coach has taken care, though, to avoid overhyping the 25-year-old as someone who is prepared for a much larger role.

On May 23, Campbell told reporters that Martin needs to keep improving this summer.

Campbell remarked, “Look, the kid wants it, he’s working, and he’s improving.” “And we’ll just—he’s another guy—just need to get him some reps. Training camp will be crucial for him when he puts on the pads.”

Martin missed 17 of Detroit’s 20 games in the 2023–24 season, including the playoffs. He totaled three tackles in the three games in which he played.
