Breaking News: PITTSBURGH STEELERS Super Star Player Just Announced That He is Leaving If He Is Not Paid $65.6 million For His Contract Extension.

Steelers All-Pro hints at leaving team for division rival.

Cam Heyward, an All-Pro defensive tackle, gave off the impression this week that he knows his time with the Pittsburgh Steelers is running out.

Heyward’s contract deal with the Steelers is still pending. Heyward signed a four-year, $65.6 million contract in 2020, and is currently due to make $22.4 million this season.

The six-time Pro Bowler boycotted the first two weeks of the offseason in dissatisfaction at the deadlock over a new contract.

After a team exercise on Thursday, Heyward, who returned for the last week of OTAs in the midst of the contract negotiations, spoke with media.

The 35-year-old claimed that he discussed the prospect of playing for a different team with his wife Allie. That other team could be the Cleveland Browns, who play in the same division as the Steelers.

“I’ve had conversations with my wife, and we are aware of the situation; during those conversations, she suggested that we play somewhere else. According to Mark Kobaly of The Athletic, Heyward stated, “If that is what needs to be done, then so be it.”

“My family is still in Cleveland. Heyward remarked, “My wife is from Cleveland. “We’ll see. Right now, I’m not trying to think about any of that.

Heyward has played for the Steelers for his whole 13-year career. Heyward was chosen by Pittsburgh in the first round of the 2011 NFL Draft.

From 2017 to 2022, Heyward was a member of the Pro Bowl in every season. During that time, he was nominated for three first teams All-Pros as well.
