Michael Dunlop will compete against Billown on the Isle of Man alongside fellow Southern 100 Solo Champions Davey Todd and Dean Harrison.

The 69th Isle of Man Steam Packet Company Southern 100 Road Races, which take place next month, feature a formidable lineup that includes Michael Dunlop in addition to other previous Solo Champions Davey Todd and Dean Harrison.
Ulsterman Dunlop, who has won the coveted trophy in 2011, 2012, and 2016, will be vying for a fourth time in the blue riband race.

With his four wins earlier this month, the Ballymoney man has now achieved 29 triumphs overall, three more than his uncle Joey’s previous record of 26 wins, which stood for 24 years. This makes him the most successful rider in TT history going into the Billown course.

Following the terrible deaths of Republic of Ireland citizens last year, the popular road race on the Isle of Man was called off. After an altercation at the end of a Superbike qualifying session, rider Alan Conor and an event marshal were seen. Todd, from Saltburn, will be joining Dunlop on the grid from July 8–11. Todd won his first race at this month’s TT. After winning the main race in 2022, the 28-year-old plans to pursue a second solo championship while riding the Milwaukee BMW.

Similar to Dunlop, Harrison of Honda has strong claims for the 4.25-mile track and is a three-time Solo Champion, having taken first place in three straight years from 2017 to 2019.

Mike Browne, a southern Irishman, is part of a strong lineup and will be competing on the KTS Racing Honda with Yorkshireman Jamie Coward, who is determined to upset the current order.

Another well-known rider on the Jackson Racing Honda is Paul Jordan from Magherafelt, and Michael Sweeney returns to Billown on his MJR BMW. Rob Hodson is entered on a second Honda Fireblade, and Manx racers Nathan Harrison and Joe Yeardsley will be keen to leave their mark. The action starts with practice on Monday, July 8 at 6:05 p.m. and continues with final practice and two races starting at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, July 9. Promotion On Wednesday, July 10, four races are scheduled for Hide Ad. Then, on Thursday, July 11, from 9:30 am to 4:45 pm, there will be nine races on Championship Day.notably the highly anticipated Solo and Sidecar Championship competitions.
