Former LSU Tiger Jayden Daniels wraps up minicamp with Washington Commanders.

WASHINGTON, D.C. (KALB) – Former LSU quarterback and Heisman Trophy winner Jayden Daniels has a great start to his NFL career.

Daniels was the 2nd overall draft pick in 2024 by the Washington Commanders and seems to be picking up the offensive strategy quickly.

Daniels is not too worried about the pressure of being a first-round draft pick and is able to focus solely on learning how to be a pro due to his current veteran teammate, Marcus Mariota.

“I’m just out here just doing my job. How can I help the team get better each and every day? That’s what I focus on. Focus on learning. Focus on God,” he said. “Keep competing every day and having fun, bringing that energy and that joy and that competitiveness to the team, which DQ and them preach all the time. We want to compete in everything that we do. So, I’m out here just trying to do my job. Trying to get the 11 people on my side of the ball go the same direction.”
