BREAKING: 3 Recruits Have OFFICIALLY COMMITTED to Clemson – Meet Dabo’s Newest Stars!

Some of the nation’s top high school football prospects are in Clemson, South Carolina this weekend for official visits. Head coach Dabo Swinney and the Clemson football staff are aiming to grow their 2026 recruiting class from its current 15 commits to over 20 once the visit period wraps up. With the class already filling up, Swinney will have to be selective with the remaining scholarship offers.

This weekend, 31 recruits are scheduled to visit, with more than 20 of them earning four-star ratings from 247Sports or similar recruiting outlets. Here are three prospects most likely to commit after their visits:

1. JR Hardrick, 3-star EDGE

Hardrick might not be a headline name, but there’s a strong chance he could join Clemson’s 2026 class following a positive visit. He recently received a crystal ball prediction for Clemson on 247Sports and is currently ranked as the No. 99 edge rusher in his class. While he still has official visits lined up at Georgia Tech and Louisville, if Dabo Swinney actively pursues him, Clemson is likely to win this recruitment.

2. Carter Scruggs, 4-star Offensive Lineman

This one feels more instinctive than certain, but Clemson may already have the edge in Scruggs’ recruitment—especially since they secured his first official visit. The four-star lineman from Leesburg, Virginia has trips scheduled to Michigan, Penn State, and Georgia, but it’s not uncommon for players to cancel remaining visits if one school makes a strong impression early. If Clemson nails the visit and current commits do some peer recruiting, Scruggs could decide quickly. He’s ranked No. 164 overall in the 2026 class.

3. Tylan Wilson, 4-star Safety

Clemson already holds commitments from a few standout defensive backs in the 2026 class, but they could round out the group with another high-caliber player in Wilson. The Mississippi native recently named Clemson in his top schools and has only one other official visit planned—to Texas A&M. If this weekend’s visit to Clemson goes well, he might make an early decision. Wilson is ranked No. 220 nationally and is the 17th-best safety in his class.
