June 9: Former Giants Head Coach Bill Parcells to Enter Patriots Hall of Fame

Bill Parcells, a legendary figure in Giants history and a member of the franchise’s Hall of Fame and Ring of Honor, is set to receive a new honor—this time from a different team. The New England Patriots announced that Parcells will be inducted into their Hall of Fame as a contributor on Saturday, September 20, at Gillette Stadium.

Though best known for his time with the Giants, where he won two Super Bowls and coached from 1983 to 1990, Parcells had a brief stint with the Patriots in 1980 as a linebackers coach and later returned as head coach from 1993 to 1996. During that time, he revitalized the team, earned a playoff berth in 1994, and led New England to a Super Bowl appearance in 1996. Parcells is also the only coach in NFL history to guide four different teams to the playoffs and three different franchises to a conference title game.

June 3: Giants Make More Changes to Scouting Department

The Giants have continued to revamp their scouting department, bringing in new talent and promoting from within. Drew House joins as a scouting assistant after spending time at the University of Oregon, where he most recently served as Director of College Scouting. He also interned with the Buffalo Bills in the summers of 2023 and 2024.

In addition, Isaiah Wingfield has been promoted from scouting assistant to Southwest BLESTO scout. Wingfield, a Harvard alum and former college defensive back, previously interned with The 33rd Team and holds an MBA from Wake Forest. He joined the Giants in June 2023.

June 2: Giants Hiring Another Assistant Scout

The Giants are making another addition to their player personnel staff. According to 247Sports’ Matt Zenitz, the team is hiring Tommy Pernetti, who confirmed the move on social media. Pernetti recently served as Assistant Director of Player Personnel for College Scouting at Ole Miss, a role he took on after over a year as the school’s college scouting coordinator.

A 2023 graduate of the University of Miami, Pernetti previously held player personnel roles at both Texas and Miami.

June 2: Third-Round Pick Darius Alexander Signs Rookie Contract

Defensive lineman Darius Alexander, the Giants’ third-round pick in this year’s draft (No. 65 overall), has signed his rookie contract, the team announced after completing its fourth OTA session. The 6-foot-4, 305-pound lineman from Toledo signed a four-year deal worth an estimated $6.762 million, including a $1.557 million signing bonus, per Over the Cap.

Alexander’s 2025 cap hit is $1.229 million, which includes an $840,000 base salary. His future cap hits will be $1.536 million in 2026, $1.844 million in 2027, and $2.151 million in 2028. He’s expected to compete for a starting role next to Pro Bowler Dexter Lawrence. With his signing, six of the team’s seven draft picks are now under contract—only fourth-round running back Cam Skattebo remains unsigned.
