David Pastrnak Earns Spot on NHL Second All-Star Team After Another Standout Season

David Pastrnak’s outstanding performance this season earned him another major accolade, as the NHL named him to the Second All-Star Team on Thursday.

It’s the second time in his career he’s received this honor, having previously been named to the First All-Star Team in both 2019-20 and 2022-23.

The Bruins winger was a model of consistency, playing in all 82 regular-season games. He tallied an impressive 106 points, with 43 goals and 63 assists—marking his fourth 40-goal campaign and his third consecutive season surpassing the 100-point milestone.

While the 2024-25 season got off to a shaky start for Pastrnak—who went more than a month without a goal before breaking the drought on January 5—he rebounded in dominant fashion, closing out the season strong despite challenges the team faced overall.

Following Brad Marchand’s trade to the Florida Panthers, Pastrnak took on increased leadership responsibilities. At 29 years old, he’s now seen as a leading candidate to become the Bruins’ next captain, should the team decide to appoint one ahead of next season.
