ATLANTA — Michael Harris II and Marcell Ozuna delivered clutch, late-game three-run homers to fuel the Atlanta Braves’ comeback in a 12-4 victory over the Colorado Rockies on Friday night, opening their three-game series at Truist Park.

The Braves, who have now won three of their last four games, improved their season series lead over Colorado to 3-1. Meanwhile, the Rockies continued to struggle, dropping six of their last seven.

Trailing 4-1 heading into the sixth inning, Atlanta tied things up with two outs when Harris launched his sixth home run of the season into the right-field seats off Rockies reliever Jake Bird—who had not given up an earned run in his previous 10 appearances. It marked Harris’s third home run in his last six games.

Ozuna broke the tie an inning later with a two-out blast off Victor Vodnik (1-2), giving Atlanta a 7-4 lead. It was Ozuna’s 11th homer of the season and his first since June 1. He later added a sacrifice fly in the eighth to cap off a big night.

Enyel De Los Santos (2-2) earned the win in relief, while Raisel Iglesias and Dylan Lee each tossed a scoreless inning to close out the game.

Neither starting pitcher earned a decision. Bryce Elder went 3 1/3 innings for Atlanta, surrendering four runs on seven hits and three walks with two strikeouts. Colorado’s German Márquez gave up just one run over five innings, allowing six hits, a walk, and recording seven strikeouts.

The Rockies jumped out early with two runs in the first inning on a towering 441-foot home run to center field by Ryan McMahon—his ninth of the season and third in six games. McMahon had a strong night at the plate, going 3-for-4 with a double and three RBIs.

Atlanta answered in the bottom of the first, with Ronald Acuña Jr. scoring on Matt Olson’s sacrifice fly to left. Acuña had a standout performance as well, finishing 3-for-4 and stealing his first base of the season.

Colorado extended their lead to 4-1 in the fourth with RBI singles from Hunter Goodman and McMahon, knocking Elder out of the game. But the Braves’ offense came alive late to take control and seal the win.
