Giants Star Malik Nabers Welcomes Odell Return: ‘Bring Him Back to New York!

There’s a familiar saying around the Giants’ facility in East Rutherford: “Once a Giant, always a Giant.” So it came as no surprise when Malik Nabers, the Giants’ rookie receiver out of LSU, showed strong support for the idea of Odell Beckham Jr. returning to Big Blue.

Beckham, also an LSU alum and currently a free agent, has long expressed his affection for the Giants — the team he said he never wanted to leave before being traded to the Browns following the 2018 season. While he later captured a Super Bowl title with the Rams, his heart never seemed far from New York.

At last weekend’s Fanatics Fest in New York City, Beckham responded to a fan’s plea for a Giants reunion with a promising, “I got you.” He later shared photos of himself and his son, Zydn, sitting in the MetLife Stadium parking lot, gazing toward the stadium where he made countless memories over five seasons. His caption? “We still got more to do.”

Beckham’s words caught the attention of several Giants figures, including pass rusher Brian Burns, former lineman Justin Pugh, and Nabers himself, who echoed OBJ’s sentiment with, “We still got work to do.”

As of now, the Giants haven’t indicated any plans to bring Beckham back. Their receiver room appears set with Nabers, Darius Slayton, Wan’Dale Robinson, and Jalin Hyatt leading the depth chart. However, if Beckham decides to retire, a ceremonial one-day contract with New York to officially end his career where it began could be on the table.

Beckham hasn’t confirmed whether he’ll continue playing, but one thing is clear — if the Giants called, he likely wouldn’t hesitate to answer.
