Latest News: Just In Detroit Lions Just Confirm The Signing Of Yet Another Sensational Top Star Player…………..

Demetrius Taylor, a former Detroit Lion and first-round selection, is signed by the BC Lions. Joseph Daniel.

American defensive lineman Demetrius Taylor has signed with the BC Lions, the team announced on Tuesday. The release of American defensive lineman Dominic Quewon and Canadian defensive lineman Daniel Joseph was also confirmed by BC.

Demetrius Taylor (Ezoic DL) – Appalachian State (16.1 lbs., 25 years old)
Daniel Joseph participated in 65 games while playing for Appalachian State between 2017 and 2021. He totaled 26.5 sacks, 10 passes defensed, 5 forced fumbles, an interception, 70 assisted tackles, 46 tackles for a loss, and 67 solo tackles during his career. In each of his final three seasons, he was named to the First Team All-Sun Belt.

In 2022, Taylor became an undrafted free agent and signed with the Detroit Lions. After training camp, he was added to Detroit’s 53-man roster and appeared in one regular season game, but in late October, he was moved to the practice squad. Taylor and three other players were suspended in June 2023 for betting on NFL games in 2022, a violation of the NFL’s gambling policy that carried an indeterminate suspension through at least the 2023 season. The NFL reinstated Taylor in April of 2024.

After missing an NFL season, Taylor will aim to make a significant impression in order to get scouts’ notice and maybe re-enter the NFL. It’s intriguing that he was a Detroit Lion before signing with the BC Lions. After breaking the record for the most sacks by a Canadian in a CFL season the previous year, Mathieu Betts, a defensive end from Canada, signed an offseason contract with the Detroit Lions.

DL was released. Daniel Joseph, University of North Carolina (6’3, 265 lbs, 27 years old).

BC selected Daniel Joseph with the fourth overall choice in the 2021 CFL Draft. In 2020 and 2021, Joseph was a member of the North Carolina State football team. He participated in 23 games, including 20 starts, and finished with 33 solo, 50 assisted, and 11.5 sacks.

Joseph played in 32 games over three seasons for Penn State before joining North Carolina State. In that time, he recorded 12 solo tackles, 18 assisted tackles, and 4 sacks.

In 2022, Joseph signed a contract as an undrafted free agent with the Buffalo Bills; however, he was cut after training camp. During his three preseason games with the Bills, he racked up five total tackles along with one sack.

Joseph participated in seven XFL games with the Seattle Sea Dragons last season, totaling eight tackles and two sacks.

He was once selected in the first round of the CFL draft, has prior professional experience, and has drawn interest from the NFL, so I believe there’s a high chance more CFL teams will get in touch with him.
