BREAKING: Yankees Fans STUNNED! Judge’s Epic HR Wasted in Crushing Extra-Inning Loss to Red Sox

BOSTON — Friday night’s Yankees-Red Sox matchup at Fenway Park was packed with tension, featuring everything from late-inning heroics to controversial umpire calls.

Aaron Judge provided the first dramatic moment, launching a game-tying home run off Garrett Crochet in the ninth inning. But in the 10th, things took a turn for the Yankees. A couple of disputed calls went against them, and former Yankee Carlos Narváez delivered the final blow with a walk-off single off the Green Monster, giving the Red Sox a 2-1 victory in front of a sold-out crowd of 36,622.

Tempers flared in the top of the 10th. Yankees manager Aaron Boone and infielder DJ LeMahieu were both ejected following a dispute over a sharply hit ball by LeMahieu that the Yankees believed was fair down the first-base line. They challenged the call, but after a lengthy review, it stood as foul.

“Fair ball down the line they missed in real time, and then they don’t have the guts to overturn it,” Boone said postgame. “A quarter of the ball was on the line. That’s fair. Takes imagination to say that’s foul.”

Boone was tossed after angrily voicing his opinion and tossing his gum near home plate umpire John Tumpane. LeMahieu was ejected shortly after for calling first base umpire Jeremie Rehak’s decision a “brutal call.”

Also in the 10th, Anthony Volpe was called out trying to steal third base. Initially ruled safe, the Red Sox challenged and had the call overturned, erasing the Yankees’ automatic runner with no outs.

Boone backed the decision to send Volpe: “Hell yeah. You’re not? The only reason he’s out is he didn’t extend on the slide.”

This all came after Judge’s clutch solo homer in the ninth, which tied the game 1-1. Crochet had been nearly untouchable, striking out Judge three times with high-velocity fastballs. But on pitch No. 107—a 100 mph heater—Judge crushed a 443-foot bomb onto Lansdowne Street. It was his 26th homer of the season and his fifth in his last four starts.

“Amazing at-bat,” Boone said. “On a night when we’re running on fumes after getting in at 4 a.m., short in the bullpen, the fight from our guys was tremendous. Awesome game to be a part of.”

Before Judge’s heroics, the Yankees missed a prime opportunity in the fifth inning with runners on the corners and no outs but failed to capitalize. Boone defended the decision to hold Domínguez at third on a LeMahieu single.

Reflecting on the loss, Judge said, “We had nine other innings to make something happen. The 10th didn’t go our way, but we can’t let that be the whole story.”
