Dart made CBS Sports’ list of rookies who need to shine in mandatory minicamp because his performance is closely tied to the futures of Schoen and Daboll. According to Josh Edwards, the Giants traded up in the draft to select Dart, a move that highlighted the front office and coaching staff’s strong interest in him. While the team will likely start veteran Russell Wilson in Week 1, Dart is expected to be ready to contribute by the end of the season.

Schoen has said Dart will “sit and learn behind a couple of veterans,” so he won’t see the field soon unless there’s a major injury.
