CINCINNATI — Ahead of their weekend series against the Tampa Bay Rays, the Reds placed reliever Scott Barlow on the paternity list Friday.

To fill his spot, the team recalled right-hander Luis Mey from Triple-A Louisville. Mey has posted a 4.40 ERA over 15 MLB appearances this season.

The Reds enter the series with a 53–50 record. Nick Martinez is scheduled to start Friday night, with first pitch set for 7:10 p.m. at Great American Ball Park.
