Breaking News: Just In Tennessee Volunteers Top Experienced Star Player Announced His Departure…..

Tennessee gunslinger Joe Milton is drafted by the New England Patriots.

Joe Milton, a quarterback from Tennessee, was selected in the sixth round of this year’s NFL Draft and will now play for the Patriots in New England. Milton may be a hidden treasure in the 2024 NFL Draft despite having an unusual journey to his draft choice.

As Josh Heupel’s starting quarterback in his first season as head coach, Milton moved to Tennessee from Michigan. After losing to Hendon Hooker for the position in 2021, he took a seat behind Hooker in 2022, then in 2023 he was given the go-ahead to lead the Vols.

In his final season, he completed his passes for 2,813 yards, 20 passing touchdowns, and five interceptions. Milton was a dual-threat quarterback for the Vols in 2023, rushing for 299 yards and seven touchdowns.

What does Joe Milton bring to the Patriots?
On the third day of the NFL Draft, the Patriots will select one of the best quarterbacks available, if not the best one. He isn’t scared to flaunt his incredible arm power during sports and important occasions. His incredible arm strength has been witnessed by everybody, and NFL executives have had up-close looks at it during Tennessee’s Pro Day and the NFL Combine.

Milton proved on both days why his arm strength and power make him a valuable addition to any team. Additionally, he can run, which aided the Vols last season as a dual-threat quarterback and increased Tennessee’s offensive variety.

He also offers exceptional precision. Although Milton has been criticized in both areas, he is really one of the more accurate quarterbacks in the short and intermediate levels. Although he struggles with accuracy when throwing deep passes, his ability to move the ball down the field with passes of 70 yards or more can offset these shortcomings.

Milton will already be compared to UNC quarterback Drake Maye as the two prepare to battle for roster slots on this year’s squad, as the Patriots also selected Maye in the first round. Although Maye and Milton’s accuracy percentages in the PFF graphic are comparable, Milton has the class’s strongest arm and can deliver a deep ball that Maye cannot.
